Frederiksberg Allé 41 will soon become an even more beautiful landmark for the city. With the help of several foundations, the top of the building will be adorned with the artwork ‘Balance of Time’ created by internationally renowned artist Jeppe Hein.

The art installation ‘Balance of Time’ was developed by artist Jeppe Hein in collaboration with the developer, NRE Group A/S and Unionkul, who constructed Frederiksberg Allé 41. The funding for the project comes from generous donations from several foundations.

Mayor Michael Vindfeldt (S) is looking forward to the inauguration of the artwork in summer 2023:

"Frederiksberg Allé is one of the most beautiful stretches we have in the city, and that is mainly due to the stunning and characteristic towers that adorn the buildings along the avenue. During the construction of Frederiksberg Allé 41, the idea arose to place a unique landmark on the roof as a counterpart or 'greeting' to the other towers, and now we have finally succeeded in financing the artwork with the generous help of several foundations. I am happy and grateful for that, and I look forward to crowning the building with Jeppe Hein's beautiful art installation in June," he says.

Chair of the Culture and Leisure Committee, Lotte Kofoed (SF), is also excited:

"I am very pleased that with Jeppe Hein's impressive artwork 'Balance of Time,' we are getting what can be called a new cultural destination in the city, which also serves as a beautiful greeting to the many travelers who board and disembark from the metro station beneath the building. Inaugurating the artwork is the culmination of many years of work, in which previous municipal councils have also played an important role. I would like to acknowledge that work," she says.

'Balance of Time’ has been specifically created for Frederiksberg Allé 41 and is being realized in close collaboration between Frederiksberg Municipality, Jeppe Hein, Cobe Architects and the art agency Creator Projects.

The art project is made possible thanks to donations from A.P. Møller Foundation, Det Obelske Family Foundation, Frederiksberg Foundation, the Danish Arts Foundation, and the building's developer, NRE Group A/S and Unionkul. In addition, there is a small self-financing contribution from Frederiksberg Municipality and a reallocation of funds from the The Copenhagen Metro for the beautification and improvement of Metro stations in Frederiksberg.
