Nick Mauss and Ken Okiishi
Nick Mauss was born in New York in 1980. Ken Okiishi was born in Ames, Iowa, in 1978. Mauss and Okiishi have been working together since they met in art school at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, New York, in 1998. Past collaborative exhibitions include: One Season in Hell at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, New York, in 2007 and at MD 72, Berlin, in 2008; A Fair to Meddling Story at Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, Germany, in 2007; White Columns Annual at White Columns, New York, in 2012; and an exhibition at Mendes Wood DM, São Paulo, in 2014. Mauss and Okiishi authored one of Dia’s Artist Web Projects, Poetry as not, with singing, which launched in 2015. They live and work in New York.
