Ceal Floyer was born in 1968, and lives and works in Berlin. In 1994, she received her BFA from Goldsmiths College, London. Recent exhibitions include: Manifesta 11, Zurich, Aargauer Kunsthaus, Aarau, Switzerland, Museum Kunstpalast, Düsseldorf, Germany ( all 2016); Kunstmuseum Bonn, Germany (2015); Museion Bozen, Bolzano, Italy (2014); Kabinett für Aktuelle Kunst, Bremerhaven, and Kölnischer Kunstverein, Cologne, Germany (2013). Floyer’s work has been featured in Documenta 13 (2012), Singapore Biennial (2011), and the Venice Biennale (2009). Floyer received the Nam June Paik Art Center Prize (2009), the prize for young art by the Nationalgalerie Berlin (2007) and the Paul Hamlyn Award (2002).
